Seychelles Consulate in Košice officially open
On 15th May 2018 a small reception took place in Košice in order to mark the occasion of the Seychelles Consulate opening. Guests from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, representatives of the local authorities, regional culture, tourism and business representatives as well as academics and honorary consuls active in the eastern part of Slovakia accepted the invitation of Mrs. Wanda Adamík Hrycová, the new Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles with the competences for Košice, Prešov and Banská Bystrica Self-Governing Regions. Also Mr. President Rudolf Schuster honoured the occassion with his presence.
Andrej Hryc, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles with the competences for Bratislava, Trnava, Trenčín, Nitra and Žilina Self-Governing Regions in Slovakia welcomed the honored guests. He introduced the new Honorary Consul Mrs. Wanda Adamík Hrycová. Mr. Martin Petruško, Deputy Mayor of the city of Košice expressed in his speech contentment with the opening of the Consulate of the Republic of Seychelles in Košice and hence increasing the number of foreign consulates in the biggest city of the Eastern Slovakia. According to his opinion this is another sign of the increasing importance of the city in the international scale.
Wanda Adamík Hrycová showcased the Republic of Seychelles in a short presentation. She focused not only on the nature’s beauty that itself is a good reason to visit this island republic but also on possibilities it offers to guests looking for both an active holiday and a secluded hide-away.
After closing the official program of the event there was a space for networking and fruitful discussions among the present guests.
